Lambert Mascarenhas is a nonagenarian journalist and writer from Goa. His family hails from the Goan Catholic community, a Christian community in Goa.

Career

He was the senior journalist and the editor of the Navhind Times and first editor of Goa Today, a local monthly magazine. He has also worked with Morning Standard, Bombay Chronicle, Bombay Sentinel, Goan Tribune, and Onlooker. He has written several books, including Sorrowing Lies My Land. He was presented with the Laxmidas Borkar Memorial Award for journalism in 2004.[1]
